About Osmo
Osmo is building the AI-native motion graphics studio. We help frontier startups, researchers, and creative teams turn ideas, designs, and raw assets into polished launch films, product demos, and cinematic explainers. Faster. With more taste. With real creative control.
Backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Basis Set, MVP Fund, and Collaborative Fund. Our tools already support launches for companies like Parallel, Physical Intelligence, and YC-backed teams.
The role
We’re looking for a Video Editor to lead post-production on the footage our agency side shoots, and to help build out the marketing content that tells Osmo’s own story. You’ll be working with raw footage, not raw prompts. Your job is to shape it into something sharp, polished, and on-brand.
You’ll also get hands-on with the Osmo editor itself. Not as a requirement going in, but as part of the job. You’ll use it as a tool in your own workflow and tell us where it helps, where it doesn’t, and what’s missing.
What you’ll do
- Edit and finish footage from Osmo’s agency shoots: client launch films, product videos, behind-the-scenes content
- Cut and produce internal marketing materials: social content, recruiting videos, brand and culture pieces
- Own the post-production pipeline end to end: assembly, structure, pacing, color grading, sound, finishing
- Bring a strong, consistent color sensibility that helps define what Osmo-made footage looks like
- Work directly with the team shooting the footage to understand intent and bring it to life in the edit
- Use the Osmo editor as part of your own workflow, and give direct feedback on what works and what doesn’t
- Help build a library of finished pieces that show what Osmo and Osmo’s work can look like
What we’re looking for
- A strong portfolio of edited work. Real projects, not just timelines. Something you can talk through and defend the choices on
- Deep fluency in a professional editing environment: Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, or similar
- Strong color grading skills, comfortable owning color from raw log footage to a final, polished look (not just applying a preset LUT)
- A sharp eye for pacing, structure, and story, especially when working from raw or unscripted footage
- Comfortable owning a project from raw footage to final cut with minimal hand-holding
Nice to have
- Curiosity about AI tools in a creative workflow. Experience is a plus, not a requirement. We’ll teach you what you need
- Basic motion graphics skills (After Effects or similar), enough to add titles, simple animated graphics, or transitions without needing a dedicated motion designer
- Background producing content for startups, brands, or agencies
- An eye for what makes internal/marketing content actually get watched, not just made
Location
San Francisco preferred. Open to exceptional candidates who are willing to relocate or travel regularly for on-sites.
Compensation
To be discussed based on portfolio and availability.
What we can offer
- A highly-skilled, inspiring, and supportive team
- A positive, flexible, trust-based environment that supports long-term growth
- A global, multi-cultural group of colleagues and customers
- A healthy work-life balance that fits individual and family needs
