About Osmo Studio

Osmo Studio is a growing film production company based in San Francisco, running productions across the Bay Area, LA, NYC, London, and everywhere in between. We’re also building agentic post-production software for editors, motion designers, and marketing teams.

Our company lives at the intersection of classic Hollywood filmmaking and emerging technology. Both are essential to our company DNA.

The role

We’re hiring a full-time Executive Producer to work across all phases of commercial and narrative film production. You’ll own logistics, budgets, creative scopes, client expectations, and timelines, keeping our work on time, on budget, and creatively exceptional.

Film production

  • Structure and staff film projects. Organize directors, line producers, and post-production teams to ensure professional execution on every project.
  • Own our production slate. Keep timelines, deliverables, budgets, and next steps on track from kickoff through final delivery.
  • Spot risks early, before they become fires down the line.
  • Weigh tradeoffs across speed, budget, craft, and client expectations.

Clients and new business

  • Lead client calls alongside the founders, growing into full ownership of client relationships. Manage relationships and represent Osmo well.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact once a project kicks off, keeping clients confident and informed.
  • Lead scoping and bidding. Run discovery conversations to understand client goals, timelines, and budgets, and shape creative scope and pricing alongside the Osmo team and external directors.
  • Build relationships that turn into repeat business and referrals.

Systems and operations

  • Help improve production systems across the film studio slate.
  • Sharpen our scoping and project-management processes as we grow.

Key traits

  • Organized, proactive, and calm under pressure. You keep multiple projects and stakeholders moving without dropping threads.
  • A confident, warm client presence. People trust you and want you in the room!
  • Sharp judgment on production tradeoffs. You know when to protect the budget and when to protect the creative.
  • Detail-obsessed with real follow-through. You close all loops.
  • A creative thinker who gets how work actually gets made, from concept to final export.
  • Comfortable with autonomy in a small, fast-moving studio. You make sound judgment calls without handholding.
  • Genuinely excited about film and craft. You want to make the work of your life!

Requirements

  • Strong background in film, video, or content production. Commercial and campaign execution is a big plus.
  • Excellent project-management skills. Comfortable running multiple projects and stakeholders at once.
  • Clear, articulate communication, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good taste. Able to shape and build creative pitch decks alongside directors and the Osmo team.
  • Experience building production budgets, bidding projects, and managing costs through final delivery.
  • Able to work independently and travel to shoots across the Bay Area, with occasional trips to LA, NYC, and London.

Thoughts on AI

Our philosophy is “riding the wave.” We’re filmmakers and creatives first. We don’t believe in AI replacing creativity, or in the hype of AI tools “one-shotting” work without authorship. At the same time, we’re already integrating AI into our pipeline where it genuinely helps cut time on rote work: storyboarding, specific VFX elements, contract and document management, and general workflow support. Essentially, we want to free up more time to:

  • Make the high-leverage decisions and do the work that makes projects go perfectly.
  • Take on more clients and more ambitious creative work!
